Unhappy Urgent Need Help

URGENT NEED HELP!
Ok, i just kind of finished all my plans that i had to do, the tb bypass (PITA), chaned low coolant sensor, took of donkey dong (silencer) and changed to a 160 degree thermostat. ran into a major problem when i changed the thermo. when i went to pull the thermostat housing off the thermostat, water and coolant gushed everywhere. it wasn't a whole lot, but it was some! NOW IM SCARED! i tried my best to dry everythign as much as i can but im scared it got into my opti and is going to mess it up! i looked at my opti and it didnt look any got into it! the water/coolant only went towards the front of the car like toward the nose front bumper, it didnt look like it went behind the water pump at all. it has been setting while i put everything back together. it has been setting for like 2 hours or so? is it ok to start now? im scared to. is my opti shot? i hope not seriously i dont! im scared to start it and **** up my opti? tell me if its ok and dry!!!

I wouldn't worry about it start it up and drive it. When i did my stat install i spilled a little and dried it all up and let it sit if you're that worried get the hair dryer out i hear that might help

What's done is done. Nothing you can do about it now. All you can do is see if everything works ok.

if it's a vented opti, don't worry about it. I had mine soaked a few times, and it didn't start and stumbled when it was wet. After it dried out it ran like a champ again.

You should be fine. They can have some water splashed on them. They just dont like to be saturated.
