upgrading ignition need advice

im upgrading the ignition on my 97 z28, its all stock now and im experiencing a moderate miss at full throttle, what plus and wires do you guys reccomend and where can i get them, i want an msd coil but i cant find where to buy one , do i have to get another optispark from gm or are there aftermarket options, if i have to get a stock replacement can i get one from autozone or do i have to go to gm?
basically what i need is:

new wires- and a link to a site where i can purchase them
new plugs- what you guys reccomend
new coil- blaster msd but i cant find 1 for my car
new optispark- aftermarket if available and where to get 1

Re: upgrading ignition need advice

do a search for a delteq or LTCC. I would strongly suggest a ltcc and replace your opti. Ive used opti's from autozone and they work well and they are only 129.99. they dont have a cap and rotor though so if you doing a ltcc you can just bolt on your old cap and rotor because your not using them.

Plugs i would suggest ngk tr55's unless you have stock manifolds then i would say go with a delco platinum plug becuase you have to change the standard copper ngk's more often.

as far as coil, if you dont do the ltcc or delteq then accell makes a nice piece for 30 bucks.

Wires, go to www.thunderracing.com and get their over the valve cover taylor setup. its 100 bucks but its well worth the money to get the wires out from under the manifolds (no more burnt wires).
