TCI is junk. My buddy tried one of there Super Duper Street Fighter Competition TH400's and it blew and cracked the case internally so he couldn't even rebuild it, never even took it to the track. You need to look into Jakes Performance, ATI, Rossler, or someone who's been dealing with the newer stuff.
Scorpion rockers aren't horrible, but they aren't the best. However for $200, made in the USA, clear big springs, and a lifetime warranty is hard to beat.
You need to put your build on pause, spend a week minimum reading about what works and what doesn't on this board, and then more forward with your build.
I'd like to hear a current part list on what's going in the motor. What do you currently have and what are you planning on getting? What lifters, what size cam is this guy thinking, what valve springs, rocker stud size, rods, etc.
I'm yet to see you post the power band your looking for. Saying you want midrange with good top end means nada. Top end to what? 5800rpm or 7000? The cam will be vastly different to shift at either of those points.
What's your budget?
On another note, how was the motor whooped, cam shot, and lifters stuck?

I want the car too pull hard from 4500 upto 6500. The reason the cam went bad was because of continuous revving too 6800. I will go see him in the morning and get a complete build sheet. The parts i do know are getting used are the stock crank polished. Clevite main and rod bearings . Speed pro hyperforged pistons. .030 over
Stock rods are being resized, nobody seems too have faith in the eagle rods. All new felpro gaskets. Scorpion roller rockers, new pushrods lifters valves valve springs, heads and intake will be ported and polished, 3 angle valve.job, new timing set, was thinkin of going gear to gear, will find out what lifters,pushrods and valves he is going with plus get specs on the camshaft tomorrow. I do know that it will not be a comp cam. If the pistons haven't been ordered yet im gonna change them so i can get higher compression. I know my buddies pro stock motor which was a 377 stroker with 13 to 1 compression had too run on cam2 red at the least which is 110 octane for it too run right. That's why i was worried about having 12.5 to 1 because i can't afford too pay 8 dollars a gallon for race gasplus its illegal to run it in street cars around here. I kind of had too rush into this build because my family has 2 vehicles. My 2004 chevy tahoe has bad piston slap and burns oil badly so i need too have it rebuilt also but i have too have 1 vehicle at the least. Hoping the hoe lasts me till the 27th if not im vehicle-less
