update to idle surge problem. (old thread)

Its been months since last thread & I'm happy to report that I still have NOT had the symptoms return. I have been in heavy traffic with a/c on & off, hot , cold and still idles fine.

Without some reference to your old thread, this info does not mean much.

The problem was either 2-3 things. First I fixed the intake manifold leak but still had a surge at idle, but not as bad. Than I went ahead and fixed a vac line leak under the battery compartment. This is the line that runs into the vac. tank. It seems to affect the flap doors when you have the a/c on. No more air stoppage when you nail it now. Last was the fuel pressure control valve. I wasn't getting good readings when running and after manipulating it I suspected a stuck valve in the schrader valve. After unhooking the fuel press gauge I played around with the valve and than it seemed to work?? That was it.
Before this I did all the other things , plugs ,wires, o2 sensors, fuel filter, TB & egr clean out, seafoam, but still had the surge.I hope & think its gone for good.
