Up for CA emmisons, few quick questions

1. CC305 cam, I know it isn't emmisons legal but I heard it can pass with some programing

2. EGR Removed - I'm I going to have to put it back one and plug the sensor in to pass smog?

3. Is there anyway to skip a year of a smog check?

1) I have heard the same thing...AndyB has that cam in a Caprice and he just recently passed.

2) Egr must be there. It is part of the visual inspection and you will fail if it is not there (or even if the smog guy cannot get a signal from it).

3)I believe that as long as you are not a gross polluter, you have your car smogged every other year of registration (as it is with mine).

Good luck,

Matt

I have heard some talk about running some kind of Alchol in the gas that will help you pass.... should I do this?

I hear 5 gallons of toluene helps, some guys unplug an injector or two. Just make sure it's nice and warm when you go, and your O2's are in good shape. Vacumm leaks mess it up too.

Too bad you can't retard your timing on these cars, but on EFI Mustangs guys dial em back to just under stock timing to help em out.
