unventing the vented opti

What would happen if I just plugged or capped the two vent pipes on a vented opti? Would it run the same as having them vented. This sounds stupid, but I kind of have a reason. I have a 95 engine, and bought the vented opti, but I don't know where the vent hoses go and if it doesn't matter, I would rather not spend the money buying the hoses. Are 95 and 94 intake manifolds the same, because that is where the vented hoses go on a 95 right? Thanks

The vent hose just runs up to the intake elbow. I don,t think this little hose would cost that much even at local dealership prices but who knows. I would run the vent if you have the vented opti, I would think it has to help.

Pictures of where the hoses go are on my Tech Page. You now have no excuse. BTW, if you just plug them, it will be as if it were unvented.

I think I will go unvented for now. I can always change it when the car breaks again in a few weeks.

damn shoebox, you are the man. I just looked at your website for the first time, and I am sure you have heard this before, but you have made putting my engine back together much easier.

Thanks. On occasion, someone will find something useful there.

Yeah I bet. Now I have about 100 projects to do after I get the car running, because of your website and all of the how to's. By the way, that is the first time iever used the smiley.
