update on the car that almost instantly went from running pretty good to one that could barely limp on the shoulder.

appears to have been the cat. i had it replaced 1200 miles from home 5 years almost to the date ago and only had 30,000 miles on it,its clogged again.

just having it replaced with universal one this round. not gonna pay 700 bucks for the direct fit deal.

I am kinda concerned about two things tho....

1>> what are the chances that the universal cat will be gigantic in size and be really visable ?

2>> i have only used chevron or exxon premium since ive owned the car....approx last 45000 miles of its life. now, at 87000 miles , ive had to replace the cat twice. could this have to do with the gas ?
what elemental componet or whatever is so detrimental to a cat ?
