I would go with some LT's. Buy a hooker y pipe and it will hook up to your cat back. Jet hot makes a very nice headder, coated and shipped for just over $500.

with longtubes and a loudmouth you'll sound like a fleet of dump trucks coming down the road. if you don't want to go deaf i'd look into a way to quiet it down.

Ceramic coating will make them last longer, they won't rust. Even if their painted, they will rust. The biggest reason is to keep engine compartment temps down. Hell, it's worth it in the looks department if you ask me. Why spend all that time installing them if they are going to look like crap in a few months.

temps are important in these engine bays, IMO.

There's also a small performance gain to be had with a good coating. The coating insulates. By "keeping the heat in" exhaust velocity is maintained, which improves scavenging.

Basically they aren't worth buying unless coated. Primarily due to short-evity. 1200' F temps will catalyst rusting like no other.

Performance increase and not burning your plug wires very often are also factors...
