underdrive pullley problem

underdrive pullley problem

took off my underdrive pulley set and now my car dies or wants to die every time i come to stop. yet the voltage gauge shows around 14 to 16 volts. it just stalls. what did i do wrong? i took it off to get more voltage.

Belt is too small, and therefore too tight. Too much drag on the motor. Get a bigger (stock size) belt

i bought a stock belt and put it on before i started it.

Did you take the air intake off, alternator, etc. maybe you forgot to plug something back in.

wait you took OFF your OD pulley? why did you do that if you already have one on?
