underdrive pulleys does it ruin a/c?
Why do you think it would "ruin" your a/c? The compressor would turn less rpm's so I think it would extend the life of your a/c. You may get less voltage at idle with an auto however, it shouldn't be a problem unless you idle alot. Be prepaired to get a top of the line battery, the stock one will let you down one way or another.
Well it doesn't take much effort to turn the alternator but thats another pulley to buy.
My point is the stock delco battery are not gonna be too happy with your system and an u/d pulley, their not that great to begin with but you can get by if you dont change anything at all ont the car. Once you do, dont be surprised. A good "gold series" battery is a good investment for your car.

I have the ASP underdrive crank and overdrive alt pulley. Yes, at idle the A/C isn't quite the iceberg it use to be. But it cools just fine.
Now I have had charging problems when I first installed the pulleys, but I beliveve this is because I am drawing quite a bit of power with the in-tank 255, electric waterpump and stereo system. Seems to go into the yellow warning area on the volt gauge when the fans kick in when I turn on the A/C.
I figure I just need a higher output altenator.
