OK today i was driving my 94 Z...i know i need new ignition wires...but $$ prevented me from doin so this weekend while home from college. I drove the car today to get some tranny fluid for my Chevelle. All of a sudden it sounded like the car was outta gas (gas gauge says 1/2 tank and i knew there was a half tank there) with thumping and popping noises coming from the engine and the car wouldnt accelerate so i went and got gas...car started up fine as soon as i hit the gas...pop rattle bang and it continued. I drove back towards home without the tranny fluid i parked it and got under the hood revved it up and looked towards where the coil wire usually arcs...and its not arcing but it continues to pop and rattle like crazy. I i parked her and forgot about it for the time being. Just before i went to catch my train back to school i went out and started the car no pops or rattles now....WTF??? it doesnt even arc any spark! What is going on? Any ideas? The wires WILL be replaced next weekend, but any ideas guys? Computer is going out to be tuned next weekend also...so i wanna try to fix it!
