Typical deck clearance and gasket bore??

I know this is kind of a stupid question since there is no way to know for sure without measuring, but what is the typical piston deck clearance? I know my motor has been decked, but I'm not sure how much. I told the guy I wanted as little taken off as possible. Any wild guesses??

Also, does anybody know the gasket bore size for fel-pros?

Just trying to do some compression calculations that I should've done before putting my engine together.

Re: Typical deck clearance and gasket bore??

The deck height of your rotating assembly is going to work out to 9.000" so if you find TDC then measure how far down in the bore the piston is you will know your clearance... only one way to know

The stock setup is around .030-.035" in the hole. Changing the rotating assembly will change all of this.

The gasket bore can be found from Summit.... always helps to know where to look

Thanks, I looked at the Federal Mogul website and it had no info. I figured it would if anybody did.

I would measure, but it is already together and installed in the car. I think I have in narrowed down to within .3 though.
