Type of rockers with LE1 head & Cam

I just got my LE1 heads. I also have a comp cam with gross valve lift of int .541 exh .537. for my 383. I was told that the stock rockers will not work with my cam. Elliott said the following,

"I do not need the rockers and they will NOT work with any of my cams (or hardly any aftermarket cams at all for that matter). You will want to get a roller rocker and some GOOD pushrods (at least some $80 Trick Flow pushrods) to stand up to the cams lift, ramp speed, RPM range and the spring pressure."

I buddy of mine is using stock rockers with his cam, but it is not as aggressive. I am going to call my machine shop when they open on monday and see what they say. But what do you guys think. yes or no on the roller rockers.

Also still not sure what pushrods im using.

Using comp cams 1.6 promags, no problems. They're pricey though.

DEFINETLY use aftermarket roller rockers though, don't even bother with the stamped steel POS
rocker arms is a virtual necessity when swapping cams.

Get the trickflow pushrods instead of the comp hi-tech ones, they are made by the same place as the comps and they are the same exact pushrod, just $60+ cheaper ($85 vs $155). I have some trickflow 7.15" pushrods for sale for $60 shipped if you are interested.

There is no stock guideplate. You need to purchase those separate.
