TV cable adjustment/replacement how??

I have a 93 AT4 Z28 with a New GM performance Tranny (because of the 3 year unlimited miles warranty) and the shifting is all hosed up. slips, no power, no downshifting, real erratic. I can't figure out how to adjust the TV cable. I know how to adjust it on 3rd gens with TBI, but no Exp. with 4th gens. I do know that it will not set itself from previous owner like it should. How hard is it to replace?

Push the adjustment buttom in, and slide the cable all the way back (toward the firewall). Get in the car and push the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor. The cable should ratchet out some. This will get you close. Moving the cable toward the firewall raises pressure (makes shift later and firmer). Moving it forward has the opposite effect. Optimal shift points for NORMAL driving are 15-18 MPH for the 1-2 shift, and 35-38 MPH for the 2-3 shift.
