Turn Signal Lights....on front????

Has anyone ever noticed the front turn signal lights (corner lights--the yellow ones) on 97+ Camaro's is brighter?? I was wondering if it is just the bulbs or if it is the design of the inside of the light (the reflector shape on the light) <<I think it is that.
But anyway i was wondering if you can swap them directly?? If you can just get a pair of a 97+ and bolt them in on a 96 or earlier car???? Like same size and everything????
I really don't like the dim corner lights anymore
