turn signal help
turn signal help
my turn signal is a little funky... u can push it down no problem to signal left but when u push it up it doesnt click in... instead u have to hold it so u signal right... the signal works just it doesnt click in... also how hard is it to change a lock cylinder
When you pull off the steering wheel and the plastic cover, you'll see the turn signal switch mechanism. one of the tabs probably broke inside.
The lock cylinder is right underneath the signal mech. not really hard to get out, but I heard that running the vats wire back down the column is a pain.
You'll need a steering wheel puller, some snap ring pliers, a couple of sockets, and a screwdriver to do the job.
Should only take a couple of hours.

Also may just need to tighten it up a little - it's a pain to get too - but I have done it. shoebox knows about this (of course)...
Here is a similar thread. This one talks about the dimmer switch more so that the turn signal - but since they are the same piece, maybe it will help some.
