tuning or not

I have had my car tuned by ed wright in the past when i had just bolt ons. Since then i have added a 3000 stall converter and 3.73 gears. Would retuning benefit my car and all? I dont care about the mph being jacked up.

Did you ever go wide open throttle with the 3.73 gears? Normally it should hit the rev limiter, or at least it will shift later than it should. (past your current powerband)

Yep, you'll need it recalibrated or else your shift points will be messed up and you'll be hitting the rev limiter.

I just read another post about you. Your stuff looks awesome. Ive had my done by ed wright. recently i had it dynoed and it was running way lean. like 14.5 afr. Isnt that way too lean for me? All i have is bolt ons. I didnt see again gain or feel any gain from his tuning. You say u will guarantee your tuning? Can u tune it after its already been tuned by ed??

14+ is definetely lean. If you provide the graph, I can get it very close for you. (12.5-13 is where it should be)

I can overwrite Ed's program, no problem there.
And yes, I do guarantee my tunes, as long as your car doesn't have bad plugs/wires or other stuff like that. (not saying that it won't work, it's just that it won't provide the gains you're looking for since the power wasn't there already)

Awesome. I dont have the sheets anymore. it was 14.5 exactly. I am going to get it redynoed and get the sheets and then send them to you. What should the afr be for me? I have CAI, LT headers, no cats, exhaust, and tuning pretty much, and a converter. Also, if it was 14.5 what kind of power loss was i looking at??

12.5 - 13 is optimum for power. Leaning it out more may deliver the same horsepower but it's not very safe for the engine. You may have lost 5-10 HP though at most, if you lost any.
Was it 14.5 all the way or only at certain points?
If it was 14.5 only at the begging, that is normal.

Hmm... you might have a fuel delivery issue. I really don't think Ed leaned it out that much. How much HP did it put down?
