Tune?!

i have no basis on how fast my car should be and i haven't had it to the track yet.... the thing is i don't think it's as fast as it should be, it doesn't feel much faster than my high 14's mustang.... so anyways my question is, will a mail order tune make a big difference???? such as pcm for less.... my car has all the goodies listed in my sig but i don't know much more about it.... also i think it may have had a hypertech on it at one time (there was a hypertech sticker on the rad cover under the hood) and i know pretty much everyone here thinks they are junk... any input would be great.... i need to just take it to the track to get a baseline but i work nights so it's hard to do.... thanks again!!!

oh the car also has stock 273 gears, msd 6al, 92k on the engine, and a recent tune up!

How many miles are on your car, and you also dont have any mods other than a 6al box? Get at least CAI and exhaust before you try to tune it. Youll get more bng for your buck that way when you go for a tune later on.

Switch over to 3.73 gears and it'll feel like you expect it to. Get yourself a cai and full exhaust and it'll feel alot better.

Just get some 3.73 gears in it, and have it tuned after the gears it will feel a TON better than those doggy 2.73 gears.

If you take the car to the track all the time or are planning on a large cam I would consider a stall after that, makes the car way faster (half a second) but it wont feel faster under normal driving.
