Tubular K member-yae or nae??
I have never grounded out my stock K member, or my BMR. Unless you're doing 80mph down a gravel unpaved road you shouldn't be either. Besides, if you were to ground out the stock k-member, the rear of the oilpan would still take some damage.
To put it in you'll need a hoist to hold the motor up, and after you're done you will need a front end allignment.

plus if you have alot of miles on your stock lowers (ball joints specifically) it makes it easier to change lol plus added weight savings
