Exhaust system, CAI, Headers are fairly easy bolt on.

After that, Cam Swap and 1.6 Roller Rockers.

Then I'd get into the suspension/chassis and add Sub-Frame Connectors, and replace the LCAs/PHRs/TA.

After that, then you're into the motor and replacing heads and such.

If it's an A4 look into a torque converter. Some gears could really help you out, while it doesn't give you more HP but it will make it feel faster. You have to remember that it's not all about horsepower, suspension upgrades to make it launch better will benefit you a lot.

I'm confused. You're looking for directions for a cam swap, but your signature says you're cammed already.

gears, while not HP will make you faster off the line. I mean there really isn't any where to do 150 right...

I see. There are a number of LT1 cam swap guides floating around the web. I've read through a couple, but their locations escape me at the moment. And I definitely recommend gears and a stall. The difference is night and day, and my stalled/geared autos have been on the conservative side with 3.73s and 2400-2500 converters.

Re: trying to get more hp

i noticed a decent amount of power with my old 97 auto by headers & cai and shift kit.
Headers are a pita but make it sound nice, my shift kit was adjustable and made i chirp 3rd! With brand new tires on it. Never got to dyno or run her at the track. The gears in mine make me almost not want to do any thing else to my car as its very street-able and well she just has that fresh from the dealership vibe you know? Un molested...

Stickier wider tires will also make it hook better, and bring down the 0-60 times.

A cam swap in a 4th gen is a royal pain in the ***. No other way to say it really. Plan on 2 days if you take your time. Putting 1.6 rockers on along with a spring swap is a 2-3 hour job. The back cylinders can be a bitch but the fronts are easy.
