Trying to convert to single cat.

I want to use the mac mid length headers for the 93-95 lt1's, on my 96 lt1. I just want to make sure this is all i need, 2 O2 sims, 3inch high flow cat ?? Will i need any O2 extensions, or computer programming? Are they a direct fit or will any small modifications have to be made? Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Trying to convert to single cat.

When I did mine I just installed the 94-95 style SLP headers just like normal. I had to use O2 extensions on the front O2's and used O2 sims on the rear. I didn't have to have any programing. I also went with a Magnaflow cat. The catback is different also so you will have to have an exhaust shop fix it up for you.

you'll need an "s-pipe" to make the exhuast work with the 96-97 catback style..

thunder racing sells them ...

OR Private Message "Z28 97" he just took one out of his z
