Trying to change pass. side plug wires

I'm in the middle of putting my MSD wires on and I am stuck. I have the alternator off and am scratching my head trying to figure out how to route these. I have no clue. I did search but I didnt understand what anyone was saying. Please help!

A picture would be great.

simple...

remove the pass. side motor mount bolt...15mm bolt, 18mm nut i beleive.

then jack the motor up 2 inches

you can then reach all the plugs and wires form the top

Ok. This is definately a crappy job. This is what i did.

Removed OIL filler neck.

jacked up car to get underneath.

Before you start: Find the small plastic 4 ribbed channel that the old 7 mm wires run through. This is located on the pulley bracket under the alternator. It provides a safe path for the old wires to go through behind the steam pipe and behind the pulleys. RIP IT OUT. This plastic "wire guide" is inadequite for larger wires and is not needed anyway. I took set of long needle nose pliers and ripped it out. It is only clipped in place and will rip out.

Once this piece is out of thew way you have a lot more room (at least an inch more clearnace) for your wires to go around the block in the front. This allows them to easily reach the opti.

Start at the last plug and install the wires routing them up to the front of the engine and behind that small metal pipe Make sure you get them behind this small pipe where the old ones went. Keep them away from the pulley. I recommend using heat wrap on the wires near the headers. I was careful and still burnt a wire a little bit. All wires are accessable through the top and the idea of jacking it up sounds very nice. I probably should have done this. When your done routing them up to the opti plug them in and use zip-ties to keep them together and away from the pulleys. Good luck!
