The truth about the motor.

Pulled apart the motor today.

Looks like head gasket leaked into number 6 & 8 cylinder.

3 rod bearings trashed, 1 spun. 1, 5, and 8. 8 was so bad that it would let the piston come up and hit the head! the head looks to be fine, however im gonna get it checked out.

Crank is a loss, dug into it pretty damn far.

also took out 2 main bearings. both were welded to the block, and the crank, maybe thats where my hard starts were coming from

oil pan is full of metal.

hurray for head gasket leaks!

EDIT: Also forgot to mention that the cam bearings were all badly burned.

ya, after heads/cam

putting together a forged 383 and gonna put lots of nitrous through it later on. should be good for low-mid 10s once i have a 12bolt and street twin. until then its probably gonna be supra style.
