Question Is it true you can use LT1 knuckles for the LS1 upgrade?

I'm upgrading to the LS1 brakes and the pass. side knuckle is bent. I've heard from a topic on this board that you can use the LT1 knuckles, you just have to cut off the tabs where the caliper goes too. Is this correct? Also, when I was pricing one at the dealer, they said there was a difference between v6 and z28 knuckles, I didn't think there was, is this also correct? Thanks for your input.

I did the conversion last year. And as you would know it, the PS spindle was bent in the upper part (would hit the spring before connecting to the upper arm). I wasn't sure about using the LT1 peice so i just had the company send me another one. It was a while ago, but i think i remember the caliper bolt holes being in a different location so the LT1 spindles probably can't be used. Someone correct me if i'm wrong though.

The LS1 spindle is a beefier peice, so i'd use it just for that fact. You get everything needed for about $250-ish, so you might as well save the trouble and get the LS1 spindles too.

The knuckles are completley different. The brake mounts are diferent. The LS1's ae heavier duty.
