True Duals Quiet??...possible?
I am putting LTs on my car in the spring when the 383 is done, and I have crapmaster catback right now. Would it be at all possible to run say 2.5 or 3" true duals over the axle into a muffler with 2 inlets and 2 outlets and make it be as quiet as a regular catback, maybe a slight bit louder. I figure it would be worth a shot since ill need a ypipe made, and i want a new exhaust anyway. Thoughts?
Picking the "dump" or exit location is key and picking a muffler that works to suit your needs.
I have had 1- different set ups on my car so far. I have finally found a set up that makes me happy...Duals with H-pipe (due to my Spohn TA) and Hooker Aero Chambers dumping at the rear axle.
If you run the tubes over the axle then you gain less interior noise. If you dump under the car, get alot of muffler, and that mean more restriction...it is all a trade off...
