True Duals.......Ousted Catz.
True Duals.......Ousted Catz.
I would like to cut out my cats and run true duals but I dont want my car to be too loud. Right now I have Slowmaster Cat-Backs and both converters in. I like the sound but I don't want it much louder. Dunno how the 383 is gonna sound. Any ideas?
How much HP do you think I would gain by going w/true duals and catz out?
thanks

Someone I unfortunately know did the same thing and he ended up installing 4 bullet mufflers for the sound to be tolerable. I bet he's having difficulties hearing the words "speed bump" now.
i have duals with bullets and, #1 its not too loud, #2 speed bumps dont bother me at all. i live in an apartment and drive over them everyday. no scraps at all. it all depends on who or how you get it done by. a ****ty install will leave you scraping on everything. mine doesnt hang any lower than the stock exhaust did. just ask around about which shops are reputable in your area.
I dunno what was so funny.....enlighten me. hahahah. Anyway maybe I left out the fact that I'm still gonna run mufflers. I just want true dual exhaust and if I actually will gain a lot.
So Mad I guess your saying forget it huh? Won't be worth it? I saw a LS1 SS yesterday for the 1st time with true duals. Sounded awesome but maybe he still had the Catz in. Dunno.
thanks.

I was being sarcastic. (just kidding)
I've heard several true dual setups and all of them were too loud for a daily driver, in my opinion.
Of course, you will gain some HP (I'd guess around 10 with your setup) but if it was me, I'd just stay with a nice catback and run some electric cutouts.
