true duals with AS&M midlengths, is it possible?

Has anyone scrapped the y-pipe setup on shorty or midlength headers and run 3" pipe straight down to some dual dynomax bullets?

Also, could I just use O2 simms instead of having O2 bungs welded in?

Just something I was thinking about...

1) Yes you could. As the midlenghts come down, they'll go into the y-pipe, and come the rest of the way down. Then before they come and Y, you can hack the y-pipe up and extend them to make a true dual setup.

2) You can only use 02 simms for the rear 02's on a 96+ OBD2 car, you cannot use 02 sims to replace the first set of 02's.
