True Duals

What all is needed for a true dual setup and is it better on an almost stock LT1?

I'm ordering Pacesetter LTs in a few hours and I have a shop nearby that can fabricate an x-pipe and do the install for me...

Re: True Duals

I have a dual setup over the axle for sale....for Pacesetters.

From what I've seen, a cat-back gains 10-14rwhp over stock, and duals gain 8-12rwhp over a cat-back.

Here's my duals.... http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=412179

Re: True Duals

I'm not asking for parts here, I'm asking a few specific questions cause I'm not mechanically inclined.

1. What all is needed for a true dual setup? (i see stuff like bullets, etc and have no clue what that means...)

2. Is it worth doing true duals on a stock LT1?

3. Whats a good combination (header, pipe, muffler, anything else needed)?

Re: True Duals

Well, I've ordered the Pacesetters and some lowering springs. The shop I'm lookin at now is a flowmaster place...so I just need to get all the parts unless i go with American Thunder. Luckily we dont have emissions here Thank you for the info.

More bolt ons are to come, but for now its just a stock LT1 with an intake...that shouldnt cause any problems right?

Re: True Duals

Yea I thought about it at the last second and took the springs off. My larger wheels don't leave as much clearance in teh wheel wells and bumps and potholes prevail in FL. I'm also not doin the true duals. I talked to some friends and theres really not much benefit to the extra cost.

I've ordered the Pacesetters, off road y pipe and hooker catback system. Then after the new year when i have more money, i'll get an ecutout.

EDIT: The only bolt on I have atm is the K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit (stupid fancy names)
