Re: True Duals

Your car has a lot of stuff done to it, which is good. It's not my type of style, but who said there is only one style to fix your car up like. That's what car crafting is all about and what ever makes you happy is what you have to worry about.

Re: True Duals

I'd be kinda interested to hear what the car sounds like.

Re: True Duals

IMO thats just too much exhaust on one side as it the driver's side has way too many bends in it and just too long.

I'd get the BMR brace and go duals one on each side.

Re: True Duals

Pics are in my sig. This system made 12 rwhp over a 3" cat back,
sounds great, and is quiet. This is also a mandrel bent 2.5" system
with cats and no headers.

Re: True Duals

I'll try and get some pics of mine soon, but I went under the rear end, clearence is greatly reduced but I took mine over the axle (one on both sides) and constantly had a banging or rattling because it's just way to narrow up in there.

I have to run my cylinder Bullet mufflers right before the tips because I have nowhere else to put them...the resemble fart cans and I hate it.

Re: True Duals

For clearance and practablilty reasons, his exhaust route was the best way to go. All he did was bend the pipes to the stock location. except there's 2 pipes goign the route instead of one. I'm goign to set my true dual system up shortly... and I prefer that way also except I'll be using 2.5 inch pipes. There's just not enough room to take these things straight underneath the car. like most would prefer...and when you have Diamond sfc's it's even worse, and the Panhard reloactaion kit that BMR sells is rediculously over priced. It cost more than a real panhard rod, and doesn't serve any actual improvement purposes or benifits....other than runnign a pipe over it... I don't think that's worth the extra bucks. Biggest problem I see with te True dual setup location in the stock area, is that the exhaust is in your way when you need to remove the transmission.

Re: True Duals

When I was getting my exhaust done at a well-known performance shop, I asked some questions about pricing true duals just in case I decided upon that route. It also came up that they don't really like doing them, especially for clearance issues - but they CAN make anything work. But is it worth it? They didn't seem to think it was over a good flowing ORY-pipe and 3" exhaust. And when you do make enough power that this becomes a restriction...there is always a cutout at the axle or dual cutouts for the track.

Now...I'm not saying that true duals dont sound incredible , but for most applications I just dont think its worth it unless you have the money annd no other mods in mind...

All the above is my opinion ONLY
