So I was told that if you have a little bit of an oil leak like a rear main seal that has a minor drip. that If you go to a thicker oil it stop's the leak, or just slow's it down. I've never heard of this, Has anyone else ever heard of this?

yes. use valvoline max life oil. It will condition(swell) up the seals on the gaskets. now I am not sure since the seals are not necessarily rubber on the front and rear main.

If its an M6, then you will be VERY sorry that you put it off when you have to replace a clutch.
