Pardon me for being stupid, but what is an r series port? Is it different than a vortec type?

The r series is Trickflow's 215cc intake runner.

I would be interested in seeing somebody put a set of edelbrock heads on a car and trying them. If (like Bud M points out) the flow numbers with the small valves and ports are true, they would make some wicked torquey street heads. Prorac1

i have to say for the money the tfs heads are a heck of deal out of the box. i don't have the flow #'s on hand but they flow a little more than what is stated on the website. there is a lot of meat to port them also. it is too bad that they haven't offered up the 18 degree head yet, but who know's if they are willing to put an LT1 head on the market 7 years after GM quit building them they might.

You wouldn't happen to be from the Tulsa area would you?

Would like to hear more about your TFS heads. Have you had any opportunity to dyno or run your combo yet? Did you install them out of the box or have them worked by BJ's a bit (if you are from Tulsa)?

yes i am from the tulsa area. i don't have any dyno #'s yet or times at the track, it won't be open until the middle of may. i just had ed wright do a guesstimation of what the tuning should be until i could get a few miles on it, now i am just waiting for a phone call when he has some time to put a real tune on it. b. j.'s have not touched the heads. the only thing that i did to the heads was cc them and pull one intake and one exhaust valve to check them out a little bit. i will probably do a little porting on them next winter. (do i know you?)

Nope you don't know me. I am a member of COFBA (Dave95Formula) and a video of your car was posted on www.projectransam.com 's messageboard in the LT1 Section. I have some AFR's on my car that were worked a little by BJ's (how well...no clue...turned into bad situation).

still in the process of puting my 93 back togeter. the engine and all of its accesorys are back on, going to drop it back in this week. but there is still alot more needed to be done. the car dosent have a radiator, evap, one fan is broken.... dash is blown to bits because of the air bag... ect. but it should be running shortly.
this motor has been freshed with new rings and bearings, a edelbrock cam has been installed along with there performer LT1 heads. TPIS air foil, edelbrock headers and cat back.
will get the car dynoed when ready and post the results. I'm expecting at least 330 at the wheels and a good idle

I have AFR's on mine. Investigating TFS's, the rumored Dart's or doing some AFR 220's.

Morton's did the machine work on my motor and I think it was Bryan that assembled my long block.
