Trick Flow Elbow Problem... Plz Help!!

Well i got my 160 stat and trickflow elbow in today. I just finished installing the stat. I started on the elbow but it doesn't fit right. It is a little to long. If i line up the end to the maf it is about 3/4 inch away to far past the throttle body. What do i have to do. The end of the elbows have lips on them so the rubber part hold on a seals but if i cut it then i won't have the lip anymore. I have a slp cai btw. I heard you have to cut the vortech elbow fit but i was told that the trick flow you won't have to cut. Please help i'm trying to get this finished up. Thanks.

Cool

Can you slide the SLP CAI over any?

My Moroso CAI had a plate that connected the plastic piece to the air filter. The plate was bolted to the subframe, but eventually I pulled the screws to make the plate adjustable. This made life much easier.
