Trap speed question?

This past weekend I went to the track to time the car and was pleasently surprised to run a 13.43@106mph with a 2.178 60ft
(street tires) !!
My mods are in my sig plus I have done all the free mods.. I find these #'s to be abnormally high for an LT1 with the same mods and was wondering what time I should be expecting from a 106mph trap speed if I can get my 60ft's down?

Trap speed is basically a function of horsepower and total weight.
A few tenths one way ot the other in 60 foot times should have almost no effect on trap speed.

I, too am impressed with your 106 trap speed. My son's '00 M6 Camaro SS runs 110 @ 12.9 with DR's and 13.2s with stock tires. If anything, your car might be heavier, so 106 is cool.

Your times don't really surprise me, it was very nice and cool this past weekend and i'm assuming it was up in Ca too. I ran the same trap with basically the same mods.

How far are you talkin about gettin that 60' time down? My car is lowered and M6s are harder on the rear so i'm not really trying to push mine much lower since its my only transportation. You'll probably have an even better ET than mine with an auto if your still running the same trap as me because sticks usually trap a lil higher for the same ET and similar 60's.

I am hoping to pull a 1.9 60ft with some good rubber, and yes it was in Ca and it was about 70ish with very low humidity that day.

I need to get myself some tires and a stall converter this winter and hopefully I can see 12's with just boltons!

Thanks for the info guy's!

Those are definately good numbers but they don't appear to be abnormally high...your car is probably in good tune and your af ratio is probably good...things like fuel pump/filter can make a difference on these cars and if its been well maintained I think your numbers are entirely attainable...congratulations...where do you plan on going from here? 108? 110?

Thanks! i of course want to go faster but I want to get in to the 12's with bolt ons only! so I guess a stall converter and tires are next. I have to say that the Pcm tune from WWW.PCMFORLESS.COM helped alot! any suggestions?

Definately go for the stall and some sorta traction of some kind cause you'll need it...you could knock off .2 or so off that 1/4 time fairly easy with just some traction...so do that and a stall and I'd say you'll be knocking on the door of 12's.
