Transmission Trouble
I just got my 95 383 trans am with a 4L60E Tranny back on the road last night, i took it up the road for an easy test run and the transmission shifted through all the gears fine, so on the way back i pushed into the pedal alittle harder and the transmission seamed to hesitate to shif with the higher RPM. And if you turn the engine up high at all it takes way to long to shift you have to back out of it to get it to shift. Ive also got a TCI 3000 stall converter in it and a Trans go shift kit. along with A pcm tune from PCM for less but when i filled out the paperwork i told them to leave the transmission alone on the PCM side of things. Also on top of this **** storm the alternator wasn't charging when i took it for my first run and the battery voltage was very low, Do you think that the battery voltage being drained enough could have caused the transmission to shift like this or dose it sound like another problem? thanx for your time
usually with a bigger stall like that your car will experience whats called "stall wall." where it will bounce off the rev limiter and take awhile to shift. i would get the PCM tuned for the 3000 stall and see if that helps.
if that doesnt work then your trans is shot and you will need a rebuild
