sometimes the trans doesn't like to **** right away....it'll also slip sometimes....i am going to get a rebuilt transmission soon...but my abs onop light comes on sometimes and i hear that this may be related?? will adding extra fluid help? any help is greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

 

No, do not add more fluid. Check the fluid when the engine is warm in park, and check the level. If it is low add more and check again. My ABS inop light would come on when the transmission had trouble shifting, it needed a full rebuild.

There is really nothing you can do about it other than getting it rebuilt. Also driving it as it is could potentially damage hard parts as well which could make your rebuild much more expensive.
