Unhappy Trans Grinding HELP

Trans grinding

What I thought was my clutch might be my trans. It makes a grinding sound every once and a while which gets worse after the car heats up. I can smell clutch every so often, which led me to believe it is the clutch. Can the clutch make a grinding noise?? Or is my trans shot??? How much for a rebuild??

Thanks Erick

ive had the same problem..........do a search and you will see ive posted about it a lot.............no one has ever given a clear answer on what causes it.

i have put 15k on my tranny since it started doing that weird noise...........it does it maybe 1 -2 days out of the month.........very random.

nothing has broken (yet)...........but ill have it checked out when i go to replace my clutch someday.

could possibly be throwout bearing.
