tranny went out!!!!!!!!!!!
on my way home last nite my damm tranny went out!
i had to wait for aaa slow **** tow truck for about 1 1/2 hrs
anybody ever take a tranny out of an lt1? any tips/pointers

RRing the tranny is not that hard, a bit time consuming if you have never done it before but not that bad.
Make sure you can get the car up pretty high in the air and that you have a good selection of tools, a monster long extension is needed to reach the top 2 bellhousing bolts, I put like 4 together to get the length I needed. I used a regular floor jack as my tranny jack and had no problems. Good time to do a stall and tranny cooler since it will all be out there.
Also keep in mind that headers go in much easier with the tranny out.
