I just purchased a 94 z28 that is setup to race. When the guy put in the new tranny and beefed it up he had the springs removed for precise shifting. He said if you just step on it from a dead stop and it kicks down gear you will hear a loud pop but nothing bad will happen. Will anything bad happen with this overtime?
