Tranny slippage in 2nd only?
My sister has a '94 Formula with a 4L60E in it and first gear starts off fine but then when it hits second it seems like its in neutral. The tranny has 102k on it so I know it was going to crap out any minute. I am just curious what fails first on them? Should I rebuild it or just buy a new one? Any suggestions?
BTW she is still under my fathers control (16 years old) so I cant put a stall and shift kit in.......I already asked.

How's 3rd and 4th? Second uses the 2-4 band, so if 4th is good then your band is good. Your servo feeds from a different spot in 2nd and 4th so maybe just a cut seal. Possibly a sticking shift valve. Can you get manual 2nd?
