Tranny Mount Installation

I know this topic has been beaten to death but I wanna go more in depth. I have changed the tranny mount on my car 6 months ago with a stock one becuase it would make loud shift noises (the big bang noise), and now its doing the smae thing again. Is this normal to break this soon? I just wanna make sure its the transmission mount and not something else. I think it is the tranny mount, What other kind of tranny mount do you reccomend? I heard there is a poly one and an energy suspension one. Can I get more info on these and prices and such.

Also I am planning on installing this myself, is this a dangerous thing to do? Or can the mount be easily replaced? Nayone have directions?

Sometimes its the luck of the draw, i replaced mine once and the same day the bolt sheared off.

You can get a poly mount, but be warned, it passes a LOT of vibration into the car.

As far as installing it, its easy and the only danger would be the car falling on you if you didnt secure it on jackstands

First time mine broke I went to Napa and bought another one. A week later it broke again. I took the broke one back to Napa and they gave me another one for free. Its been 2 years with the second one and have no problems.

The Poly Mount is the way to go if you tired of breaking that POS mount.

I have had mine for over a year and I still HATE the vibration that goes into the car... But when I think how much I would have hated to change that mount several times over the past year if I had purchased the OEM.... I am a happy Camper. Not to mention the money savings.

ANCHOR 2817 LLT $23.99

ENERGY-SUSPENSION
BLACK 3.1108GC $24.99
CLAM SHELL PACKAGE

ENERGY-SUSPENSION
BLACK 3.1108GX $29.99

which one out of these three should i get, and wha the hell is a clam shell package?

Also can you guys direct me on how to replace the mount? I know where its located and I have seen it, is it pretty self explanatory to replace

I like the poly one, the shifts are definitely firmer, but it does pass a lot of vibration and road noise into the car. Also, I have heard that it makes the tranny sit higher than stock and that you can start going through tailshaft seals.
