Tranny making funny noise

I went on a trip and drove the 2 hours back home today and my camaro did great. I let it sit in the garage for about 2 hours, then went out for a drive again, and as I was getting off interstate I geared down to 3rd to slow down at about 50mph, and the tranny made this horrible grinding sound, then when I went to second at about 25mph, it did it again. From then on, everything I slowed down it made a grinding sound. But the gear engaged fine, there is no slippage.

I let it sit for a few hours, and drove it again. It was'nt as bad this time, but it still made the grinding sound some non-the-less. It made the sound mostly when I went into the gear before I let the clutch out, then when the gear engaged, it made it too, but very faintly.

The clutch is pretty new, and still under warranty. Any ideas of what it could be?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

If its under warranty take it back, don't mess with it. It sounds to me like you need a new clutch fork, but I'm not positive. Good Luck

the only thing that made me think it was'nt the clutch was that the gears were engaging just fine...for now.
