just wondering how difficult it is to change the tranny filter in an m6. i am not sure how often you should change this but i was thinking about doing it. you think it would be ok to run valvoline max life atf in a high mileage tranny? i don't think i want to use synthetic because i have heard of problems with this stuff in the t-56.

 

hey your a lil misinformed on the filter part.there is no filter on the 6 spd t56. its just uses dexronIII. its just a drain and refill if you want fresh fluid in it.

 

LO....yeah ya need to replace it, the filler cap is right next to your blinker fluid resevior

 

Right beside those muffler bearings....

 

From what I understand, there are magnets in the bottom of the case to catch any debris in the T56.
