tranny conversion

i was woundering how much of a pain in the *** will it be to switch form automatic to manual transmision? i'm doing alot of work to my engine and my tranny is screwed should i just put a new or rebuilt auto trans. in or a manual?

This should be in the drivetrain section, but since I have seen it before the mods moved it. I say get your A4 rebuilt by a good builder and you will spend less then the M6 conversion. I think the A4 is more reliable if built right, for drag racing, and bracket racing. M6 is fun on the street, but sucks in traffic, especially if you have gotten to the point of putting in a clutch that can hold a lot of power/trq.. Also search the drivetrain section, this comes up every other week! BTW, Welcome to the board!

THANX i think i just might go with a race rebuilt 4l60e this car is still my everyday driver and traffic sucks.
