traction via suspension
traction via suspension
Ive searched the board the its hard to get consistent replies on the topic of traction. Other than a good set of drag radial, will suspension upgrades have a significant impact on off the line traction?

Whereas tonnes of people state the benefits of aftermarket rear lower control arms, a GM tech said that replacing those is dangers, can cause rear wheel skid while accelerating on turns because there is not enough flex with polyurethane aftermarket control arms.
And then other talk about adjustable torque arms, some say traction bars are the best for straight line grip, claiming that the tires push against the ground with an EXTRA 1000lbs of force??
Reliable insight would be most appreciated, cuz f-bodies suck in this regard. Thanx

It's all in the combo of parts. You need good tires to hook to a degree, and you need a good suspension to do the same. Get both working together and everything is golden.
Also, don't believe what that GM tech tells you. Generally anything you replace on these cars is a good thing. All the U-stamped suspension parts they use are trash.
As for that package, its just torque arm, panhard rod, and lower controlling arms.
