Traction mods for an M6

This year at the track i don't want to see 2.3 60's anymore. I have bmr lca's and relocation brackets. I plan on getting dr's but what else would help. I am only looking for 2.0's don't want the chance of breaking a rear.

Thanks

Subframe Connectors will be a HUGE help.

I would also look into a good Torque Arm as well as a stroger Panhard Rod

My car is lowered about 1.5-2.0 inches. Will SFC's fit? what kind is a good brand to go with?

I agree..I have blown 2 stockers...however a 9" is out of reach $$ wise so I am going to built my 10 bolt a little stronger.

as for the original question..if you are going to buy a Torque Arm, invest in the adjustable so you can set pinion angle.

Put a 200 lb fat guy in the back seat.

It seems to me that since the Lt1 is front heavy, that if you don't lighten up the front, maybe evening up the F-R ratio would put more down pressure on the rear making for better traction.

Its understood that it would create a bit more drag, but at the same time might provide better 60' times.

Ok, lets hear it from those who disagree.JMHO

Get the BMR tubular weld in SFC's. I have them on my car and love them. They also fit right under your car and don't lose any ground clearance. You will lose ground clearance with the boxed ones, but not the tubular.

they are 1-3/4" diameter and the BMR are 1-5/8" for about the same price. Later>>>>>>>

what will a panhard rod do for drag racing... i thought it just keeps the rear under the car when you turn

I would second the bmr tubular SFC's if you get some. They tuck up under the car and cannot be seen at all even if you get down and look. They are really cheap and are of the best quality.

How about the BMR box type? I realize that they will give you 3/4 less ground clearance, but is that a problem with and UN lowered car? Also are they difficult to see?

I'd just a soon get the stronger box type if they aren't obtrusive and don't mess my ground clearance up significantly.

thx
