Traction Light

Sometimes when my car gets on ice, and may not even be spinning, low traction light comes on. I don't have traction control though. Am I being stupid or missing something here?

anytime ABS kicks on it will light, also on downshifts, where you lose traction without giving it gas it will light. IN other words if you go 3-2 and nail the gas at the same time spinning the tires it wont light, if you go 3-2 without gas, and the sudden change in gear locks up the tires for a min while the rpms catch up, it will light.

That little is pretty damn funny....some times it comes on if I am sliding for one inch when I am stopping at a sign, another time it didn't come on until my third of four spins

Thanks! The other day I did a 180 in a parking lot that was covered with ice, and I don't think it came on, but I stopped in my drive way on ice, and it did!
