track time questions?
track time questions?
i ran an 8.34@84 1.94 60ft. a couple months ago. i dropped almost 200lbs off of the car and switched from 26x11.5s to 26x10.5s in the back. i went back a couple nights ago, (different track) and ran 8.29@84.27 1.91 60ft. i was hoping for an 8.1 or so. i have a 2400 stall and e.t. streets, BMR control arms and relocation brackets. what can i do to get my 60ft. time lower?
If you went to a different track, on different days, it's gonna be tough to use those two numbers as a comparison. Temp, humidity, and track preparation are just a few factors that can cause a variation in performance.
Are you sure you lost 200 lbs or is that an estimate? And slicks that have a shorter sidewall historically do not hook as well as ones with taller sidewalls.

i dropped about 180lbs off of the car (stereo equip, spare and jack, fog lights, and washer canister, and a few other little things). there was a big difference in weather so i'm thinking that may be the biggest factor. plus this is a new track and several people were running anywhere from .3-.5 slower than there bests. i was also running about 15 psi in the slicks and i think i should have dropped them down to about 10-12psi.
