torque specs on valve covers bolts

what's the torque spec for the valve cover bolts?

Snug'em up til they don't leak. I wouldn't torque them.JMHO

Yeah its not much. I always just choke up on the ratchet so my hand is right by extensioin (no leverage) and give about 10 pounds of force.

A friend of mine had the measurement, it was in inch-pounds, but I forgot what it was.

You'd be safe by just snuging them down with a wratchet until they're firm, but don't crank them down really hard.

The bolts go down thru a sleeve on the inside of the valve cover. I've always been under the impression this should make contact with the boss on the head where the bolts thread in. When it reaches this point thats the proper pressure on the gasket and it should get significantly harder to tighten at that point as well. thats just a guess though, I dont have a inch/lb torque either.
