Which Torque Converter
Which Torque Converter
Well, I took my 94 Z28 to the track yesterday and here is the rundown.
On Nittos 1.96 60ft, and also a 1.96 on ET Streets. The car was bogging badly on the ET Streets but after it got the rpms up a little it was fine.
So my question is what converter do I need: Brand? Stall?
I know my 60 ft times should be lower than that. I am just guessing converter, any other opinions would be greatly appreciated.

first, was that your first time to the track? If so here are some tips: (that is a crappy 60') Make sure your engine is as cold as you can get it, DO NOT RUN ONE AFTER THE OTHER THEY WILL BE 15's Let the temp drop to 160 degrees before running. Next are your tires spinning? There is no way you have all those mods including that slp converter and 3.73's and only getting 1.96 times......i was getting that with induction and exhaust with 2.73's. But if you are at a different elevation than see level it would be different, or if the temp outside was super hot--just forget everything i said....lol
It isn't my first time to the track. The temperature was up in the 80's and very humid. I was letting the car cool down between runs. It spun some on the Nitto's and ran a 1.96 sixty foot, I got a 1.96 once on the ET Streets, but all other runs were over 2.09 sixty.
The car just bogs like crazy off the line, after about 30 or 40 feet it picks up, but by then it is too late.
