Tornado???WTF??

JUst seen somthing on TV i hadnt seen in a while.......it was on an infomercial type deal. It was called the Tornado...well supposidly it was designed to give u a better air to fuel mixture by cirulating air better giving u more HP/gas mileage.....what caught my eye though is they tested it on an Impala SS with an LT1 and it actually made 20 extra HP at rear wheel dynoed..wow wtf could this be true.
It seem logical that somthing like this could atually be true that it works..
i was just wondering if anybody knows anything about this and would actually buy one for their car??
Im not planning on it just got me curious

if it was that easy, dont you think the Auto Manufacturers would've jumped all over the "inventor" to get exclusive rights to it?

I mean you can make your own tornado with a piece of tin can..or aluminum or any other suitable material... sooooo cheap.. why do they sell it soooo expensive? I tell you why... read on:

I remember my "Real State class" and the instructors words at ope point were, "dont feel bad for selling an overvalued house to a first time buyer... they will buy it if you make em believe they have a good deal...and the reason is: "because theres alway a sucker born every minute"

That phrase imprinted in my mind....... when I see a sales person who makes a living from commission I always remember that phrase, and I remember what they are all about.

as to if it works, yeah probably. i could see marginal gains using it, however i would never get one just because i would rather put the money towards something that will make REAL power. also, i dont think it would work as well on the lt1 because the injector is so close to the port, doesnt help all too much with fuel atomization.

It won't increase power or mileage.

That thing works just as good as putting a high performance sticker on your car. It makes it look fast, but it's not. It might be something good to use on an old clunker hoopty tho.

ha, ha

You would see more gains if you filled your gas tank with boogers and snot and shoved a live llama under your hood. A.K.A. Don't waste your money on that lie.

I believe it was Pat Goss of Motor Week that tested one of those a couple of years ago, and he reported that there were no gains to be had by using it...it's just another gimmick. They've been around for about 5-6 years now.

I put on a flowmaster, dropped a mothball in my tank, lowered my radials to 15psi, installed a Tornado, and put a TYPE-R shifter on my car and gained .5 on my ET.
